What age children are the sessions suitable for?
Messy Movers classes are open to all babies and children, but to get the most from the session our recommended age would be for babies that are sitting up through to primary school age children.
What happens in a Messy Movers Session?
Each week sessions will have a mixture of messy and non-messy activities to explore, a water station, themed craft activity and fine motor skills activities all based around a weekly theme and provided within a safe, welcoming, friendly and Covid19 secure environment.
The activities will vary from week to week but you can expect your little one to get messy if they want to! Don't worry, we will clean the mess up afterwards!
My child doesn't like to get messy!
We know that not every child likes to get messy at first, sometimes it can take a few weeks or even months for a child to enjoy messy play. At our sessions we also have non-messy trays out for your little ones to explore - each activity is carefully planned out so your little one is learning all the time even if they don't realise it! If you find that your little one is not so keen to get messy this will help you break them into the world of messy play gently.
Are the resources taste safe?
YES! We know that little ones tend to put things in their mouths, so for that reason, all the resources we use in our messy play trays are taste safe and are vegan friendly. If you child has a food allergy, we can provide you with an ingredient list of the resources that we use, we always do our best to accommodate any allergies that your child may have. Please get in touch if this is an area of concern for you.
What to bring with you
Please bring a spare change of clothing for your child and a towel - it is likely that they will get wet and messy!
Adults - you may get messier than the children so please don't wear your favourite top!
